KYOCHON Ordering

Delivery, pickup, a gift voucher, a discount — the app opens with every route to an order visible at once, instead of one menu that hides the rest.

People arrive at a chicken app already knowing what they want to do: get it delivered, pick it up, spend a voucher someone sent them. So the first screen doesn't ask — it lays the four routes out as tiles, gives the discounted one the loudest card, and leaves sign-up as an option rather than a gate.

Highlights

Four routes, one screen
Voucher, discounted pickup, delivery, in-store pickup. Each is a tile with its own picture, so the choice is made by looking, not by reading a menu.
One card allowed to shout
Only the 10% pickup offer gets a filled green card. Everything else stays quiet — a promotion works when it's the exception, not the pattern.
Sign-up is optional, not a gate
The welcome puts sign-up and log-in on one line and then moves on. You can see what the app does before you hand over anything.

I designed the entry screen of the KYOCHON chicken app. The goal was narrow: cut the number of steps between opening the app and reaching an order.

People arrive already decided

Someone opening a chicken app usually knows what they came for — delivery, pickup, or a voucher a friend sent them. A screen that asks for a category first only adds a step. So it doesn't ask: all four routes are laid out on the first screen.

Choose by looking, not reading

Voucher, discounted pickup, delivery and in-store pickup each became a tile with its own illustration. Recognizing a shape is faster than comparing labels, so no tile carries more than two lines of text.

Only one card is allowed to shout

Of the four tiles, only the 10% pickup offer is filled in green. The rest stay on white and stay quiet. A promotion works when it is the exception — if everything is loud, nothing is.

Sign-up isn't a gate

The welcome block greets you, folds sign-up and log-in into a single line, and moves straight on to ordering. Demanding an account before showing what the app even sells is where people leave.

Don't make them choose. Make it visible.
